Product Name :
Alginate Amine, low viscosity 100-300 cP
Classification :
Polysaccharide / Alginate Amine, low viscosity 100-300 cP
Description :
Alginate is functionalized or derivatized with amine groups. Amine groups are conjugated to alginic acid through an amide bond. Purity: >95% powder. Standard degree of substitution (DoS): 5 mol % substitution. Alginate-Amine derivatives with lower or higher amine NH2 substitution ratio DoS (e.g. 1% and 10%) may be offered through custom synthesis service.
Properties:
Alginic acid, is a naturally occurring polysaccharide found in brown algae. It is hydrophilic. With metals such as sodium and calcium, its salts are known as alginates. Its color ranges from white to yellowish-brown and may appear as filamentous, granular, or powdered forms. Its typical molecular mass ranges from 10k to 600k; however alginate is often characterized and presented with viscosity, instead of molecular weight.
